Disrepair Negotiator

£27,885 - £31,826 per annum. Salary band H.

Hours: Between 7.00am & 7.00pm (flexitime) Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week,


Between 7.00am & 7.00pm (compressed), 36 hours over 4 days.

The post is situated within the Group’s Chief Executive Department, a diverse department reporting directly to the Chief Executive. The Department deals with disrepair claims from across the Group; investigating formal complaints; responding to enquiries from MPs and Councillors and undertakes a wide range of internal investigations/projects on behalf of the Chief Executive and the Executive Management Team.

The successful applicant will join our Internal Affairs team. We are looking to recruit someone with experience of dealing with housing disrepair claims. Your role will be to help manage, negotiate and settle disrepair claims on our behalf. You will comply with the Housing disrepair protocol and to manage disrepair claims to help reduce their impact on the Group’s resources. You will have experience in settling disrepair claims and working with solicitors and Building Surveyors. With good interpersonal and negotiation skills you will be able to communicate well, solve problems effectively and deal with difficult situations.
