GREATER MANCHESTER HOUSING FIRST – THE PILOT

Jigsaw Homes Group is one of the largest housing groups in England with more than 33,000 homes across the North West and East Midlands, employing over 1400 employees.  Our main social purpose is to provide quality homes as solid foundations for people to thrive for the rest of their lives.

Jigsaw Support brings together our support services from across the Jigsaw Group. Our projects and services are as diverse as the needs of the people we support and range from homelessness and housing advice, domestic abuse support, employment services to agency managed properties and much more.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority secured £7.6 million funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to commission a 3 year Housing First pilot to support people across all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester facing multiple needs and exclusion to maintain their housing. The pilot is one of three nationally in the UK and will be robustly evaluated to review if this model of support should be strategically integrated as a response to homelessness.

Jigsaw is a partner in the Greater Manchester consortium consisting of registered providers; health and third sector partners working together to deliver a ground –breaking service.
