The Jigsaw Health and Safety Team is split across our two main office locations in Leigh and Ashton Under Lyne. We provide advice and support to all the departments of Jigsaw Homes Group. Working with managers and employees to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees, customers and others affected by it’s work activities.

Jigsaw Homes Group is looking to recruit a H&S Co-ordinator, responsible for the maintenance and development of all the health and safety management systems within the group. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the post holder will also be responsible for line management the H&S Assistants.

 We are looking for someone who can be creating and use their initiative to drive innovation and efficiency in the systems we use and who can work collaboratively with the wider team and stakeholders. Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately is essential. You’ll possess excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and a H&S qualification  is desirable.

The role involves ensuring that the systems and any documentation are compliant with legislation and document control standards. Checking and archiving records in the systems and making sure that these are retained in line with GDPR  requirements,  co-ordinating requests for changes to the system and the development of templates and new functionality in response to business needs. The post holder will also be required to manage the lone working equipment including the issuing and recalling of devices to new starters and leavers. Producing reports for sub committees on device usage and alerts and other data from the systems as necessary.

With knowledge of electronic management systems and how to develop them to suit the needs of the organisation, along with a genuine interest in health and safety, you’ll have methodical approach to working and strong communication skills and attention to detail. You will need good people skills to be able to encourage and support colleagues in the use of these systems.
