As an apprentice, you will be welcomed into our dedicated and skilled Arrears Recovery team specialising in Early Intervention, ensuring new tenants enter their tenancy in the full knowledge of their rental obligations and that they are in the strongest position to ensure that they are able to sustain their tenancy. Where a tenant first enters into rent arrears swift action is taken to address the issue.
Above all, you would be working with a team who work hard to make the lives of our thousands of residents better.

The apprenticeship course is Revenues and welfare benefits practitioner (level 4)
Do you want to make a difference to people and help improve their quality of life?
As an Apprentice, you’ll be helping the Arrears Recovery team in determining whether an applicant is able to afford and sustain a tenancy within the Group using a variety of assessment methods E.g. completion of Affordability Assessments, managing the Outlook Early Intervention inbox and reviewing new let information received.
With empathy and understanding of the financial challenges facing vulnerable residents in the current climate, you’ll train to help deliver a responsive and sensitive service to those who are at risk and will help assess what kind of support they need. You will be required to work closely with the Voids and Lettings Team and signpost applicants to services within the Group and externally.
Over your apprenticeship period, you’ll strive to improve the quality of life for residents and provide advice, guidance and assistance on how to make the most of their income, any benefits they are entitled to and improve financial wellbeing to reduce the risk of rent arrears to help them sustain their tenancies.
You will be someone contributes to the development of an effective team and have the ability to obtain concise and factual information from customers in order to determine their needs.
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and organise your own schedule and work to meet deadlines.
You will be confident in having direct contact with residents and enjoy having personal responsibility, working and learning from your colleagues and be part of a great passionate and dedicated team.
Interviews will be conducted on 26th August 2022 at Ashton Under Lyne and 1st September 2022 at Leigh
