About the department:

We have an established and dedicated team of 600 employees within our Asset Management department.

Our team prides itself on investing in our own people to deliver first class property-based services across the Group, covering a broad range of disciplines from reactive, planned and grounds maintenance to property refurbishments, estate services, building safety and compliance.

Role Information:

The safety of our residents living in our buildings is our number one priority, so we are seeking a Senior Fire & Building Safety Co-ordinator to join our Fire & Building Safety Team.

A key part of the role is to help with our fire risk assessment programme and manage the actions that arise from this. You will work closely with the contractor(s) that undertake our fire risk assessment programme and ensure they complete these on time.

A key part of the role is producing data and reports that help the team and the wider business understand the level of compliance with fire safety. Your help with this will be vital.

Another key part of the role is undertaking audits. You will ensure evidence checks are undertaken. This ensures that when a task is completed appropriate evidence is filed and saved. You will help prepare the team and the business for the annual fire safety audit which includes an audit of fire safety related maintenance and inspections.

You may be required to help with resident engagement and other aspects of building safety. This may include site visits to our blocks, particularly our high rise. You will help develop leaflets and posters that are sent to our residents and displayed in our blocks.

You will be an enthusiastic and essential member of the fire safety team, someone who can see the benefits of IT systems to help drive compliance and increase awareness and understanding. You will be able to use the data collected to help paint a picture of compliance and identify any shortcomings. You will also be able to identify areas for improvements and implement changes in processes that help the team and the business.

You will have admin experience, be organised and methodical with a logical approach to managing data. You will be a team player who can work effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and residents.

You will be a self-starter, with great IT skills, particularly excel, who can produce reports and statistical data that provide good information that improves understanding.
